Katy Perry: Twitter Could Be Insomnia Medication

It was, counting sheep as did Mr. Bean is no longer an alternative for Katy Perry. Unable to sleep, Katy started to 'interfere' fans who are still awake and active in the Twitter timeline. Apparently, this can actually help overcome insomnia experienced by Katy Perry at the time.

At that Katy Perry was in a hotel in Chicago after she held a concert on Monday night. Unfortunately, until late at night, not Katy's eyes can also be closed. Not much can be done at that time except, of course, chatting with fans via Twitter.



"Oh Boi! I have full insomnia! Why do not we talk via Twitter aja? Those of you who ask, I answer, if you will," Katy Perry's fishing rod. Obviously this golden opportunity for the fans who want to know more about Katy

Via Twitter conversation lasted until about four o'clock in the morning. There are at least 40 questions have been answered Katy, including her favorite sport. Imperceptibly, Katy eyes getting heavy and she immediately closed the question and answer session via Twitter that.

"Okay it's 4am and I'm now jamming tweet while eating spicy Cheetos. I started this drowsy. Thanks for the question. I hope you too happy!" Katy Perry concluded as reported by Contact Music.

Police Send 1st Celeb To Jail Over Twitter & It Has To Do w/ Diddy!

WATCH WHAT YOU TWEET. Just days after Police start a unit to monitor social networking sites.....the first celeb was sent to jail over his tweet.



Maybe he's trying to stir up some controversy for himself but Diddy's new artist, Machine Gun Kelly's Tweet got him in some trouble with the law over the weekend.



Kelly was arrested last Friday for instigating a flash mob in a local mall in Cleveland, Ohio through Twitter.



Kelly, a Cleveland local, sent out a Twitter post that read,

“No one move til you hear (song) Cleveland start, once it starts run to whatever table I’m at and Lets bust a mid-mall crowd surf and RAGE HARD!!! I’ll bring the camera, and don’t move/talk till the song plays at 5pm in foodcourt on Friday night.”

Kelly was taken to jail during the event, which was caught on camera. Reports say the rapper and his crew were not booked into jail, but were instead issued citations.



Diddy seems proud of his new signing and his efforts to gain attention. The video is posted on Diddy’s website.





People in other countries have been getting arrested for starting water fight gatherings from Twitter.

The internet, and social media in particular, has become the new place where police will be monitoring for criminal activities and even advertised house parties.



Now the New York Police Department has decided to form a new unit with the explicit purpose of monitoring Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and other social networks in an attempt to track down suspects.



Kind of like how they made a "Hip-Hop" unit to monitor rapper's songs...



But this time Assistant Commissioner Kevin O'Connor says they will be trawling social media networks trying to uncover chatter about crimes ranging from the seemingly insignificant house party to

"gang showdowns and other potential mayhem."

Meantime, the British police have arrested several internet users as part of a broader clampdown on social networking sites under security excuses.



A man will appear before magistrates next month for allegedly trying to organise a mass water fight via his mobile phone.



The prime minister said last week that the government would investigate whether social networking platforms should be shut down if they helped to "plot" crime in the wake of the riots.



The 20-year-old from Colchester was arrested on Friday after Essex police discovered the alleged plans circulating on the BlackBerry Messenger service and Facebook.



The unnamed man has been charged with "encouraging or assisting in the commission of an offence" under the 2007 Serious Crime Act, police said.



Another group of people in Iran were charged with the same "crime" of organizing a water gun fight via Facebook just a few days ago.



A water gun fight? Seriously.



But look, the UK is seriously considering shutting down Twitter all together.



The Metropolitan Police considered shutting down Twitter at the height of the rioting in London but discovered they did not have the power do so...but they are trying!



British Prime Minister David Cameron believes that Facebook and Twitter contributed to what he called as the violence and chaos in London.



Cameron is attempting to eradicate free speech with the help of the aforementioned two social media behemoths.



He claims that social media helped organize the riots, and stated,

"Free flow of information can be used for good, but it can also be used for ill. So we are working with the police, the intelligence services and industry whether it will be right to stop people communicating via these websites and services."

Cameron is now unabashedly advocating the exact same control exerted over the web by corrupt leaders in Egypt and elsewhere.



Back to the U.S., they may not be shutting Twitter down....but they will be watching!

We came across an interesting article this morning. A Japanese company called TechFirm [JP] has just released a special Twitter client for the iPad in the App Store. “Breath Bird” lets users tweet with their breath.

It's actually geared towards disabled people who can not type themselves. Interesting, right? People who can’t use their fingers can still engage in the Twitter universe by simply breathing into the iPad’s mic!


The apps "Breath Control Function" detects the strength of the breath, and convert it to keyboard inputs.

If the user wants to “type” a particular character, he/she can breathe into the mic of the highlighted row and make the app highlight all of the characters in that row, one after another- from left to right. Once the desired character is highlighted, the user simply breathes again and it appears in the tweet bubble. Users just have to repeat to create words that can then be posted to their Twitter in the same fashion.

Malaysia Men Sentenced 100 Tweet Apology

Be careful, must not spit tweet on Twitter. It could be considered defamation. As happened in this man from Malaysia, because defamation is considered a medium, he diperkarakan and then punished to make 100 apology via Twitter.

The punishments are somewhat unique to the defendant. But the court saw what the actors - Fahmi Fadzil - it also raised via the micro-blogging sites.

In problematic tweet it, Fahmi wrote that his friend who was pregnant was not treated well by the magazine company where he worked. Unfortunately, local media Malaysia is offended by the chirp.

As a result, they also bring this matter to court with charges of defamation. In short, Fahmi eventually convicted and sentenced to 100 tweets post an apology in a span of three days.

"1 / 100 I have done a libel against the Blu Inc Media & Female Magazine. tweets related to my previous company policy they were not true. I take back those words and with this state an apology,"the apology tweet posted Fahmy, quoted from Cellular News, on Monday (06/05/2011).

Even so, this problem turns out to have an impact 'positive'. That surge in followers Fahmi be more than 1,000 followers on Twitter after this issue was revealed to the public.

"TWEET OF THE WEEK" - Rapper Common Vs. Sarah Palin

This Wednesday, May 11, rapper Common caused a lot of controversy performing poetry at the White House.

Common tweeted on Wednesday,

"OWW!..my bad, that was me pinching myself after last night. I had an unbelievable time at the White House!"

He may have been happy but, Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin was not and stirred up all the drama when she got on Twitter and wrote,

"Oh, lovely, White House."

Referring to Common's performance, then she appeared Fox News soon after bashing him and the White House saying,

"The White House's judgment on invited someone who gloried cop killing during police memorial week of all times....it's just so lacking of class and decency."

Palin then got sarcastic and went on to say that she is not "anti-rap," because she liked Fox News anchor Brett Baier's performance of "Rapper's Delight."

"I am obviously a proponent of free speech... I'm not anti-rap. In fact, like Bret Baier, I know the lyrics to 'Rapper's Delight,' too....But I am saying just common decency in the White House -- wouldn't we like to see a reflection of all that is wonderful and great, a shining city on a hill that the White House is supposed to be, with events inside of that house that reflects the patriotism and the decency and the influence of America."

Common got on Twitter again but this time to tweet CNN reporter, CNN Roland Martin and wrote simply,

"So apparently Sarah Palin and Fox News doesn't like me."

Lady Gaga Gets Bloody W/ Alice Cooper, "I Just Died & Went To hell" (PHOTOS)

Lady Gaga got a nice surprise backstage at her recent concert in Phoenix, Ariz. - she met her idol, original shock-rocker Alice Cooper and Tweeted a picture from their meeting yesterday - her birthday.

"I just died and went to Hell,"

she Tweeted - along with the picture of herself covered in fake blood and her idol's hand around her neck.



While Gaga is a huge fan of Cooper, the macabre rocker also finds himself a fan of hers.

"She's a cross between Madonna, Mae West and Liberace... She's a spectacle."

"She's great because she gets it, but she can back it up. She can sing, she can write, she can play piano, she's not just a costume queen,"

he says.

Sources say that it could happen as soon as this May, when both artists' tours will be in Brazil at the same time.

And speaking of the history of rock 'n' roll, Cooper, 63, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month.

TMZ claims to have seen snippets of Usher's tape, as well as a few still images from it, and confirm that it is indeed Usher, and ex-wife Tameka Foster, in the video.

In December 2010, we reported to you that $1,000,000 in valuables, mostly jewelry and two laptops, stolen from Usher's SUV in Atlanta. Sources close to Usher claim that, if the tape is indeed his, could have been taken during that robbery.

The tape, if it does feature the Raymond and his ex-wife, would probably have to be a number of years old; the singer filed for divorce from Foster in June, 2009.

With supporters like Diddy, Kanye West, David Arquette and many others, his catchphrases "tigerblood" and "winning" have become pop culture touchstones in a matter of days!

Charlie Sheen now holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest Twitter user to reach one million followers, after hitting the figure in just a day.


The actor whose Twitter profile says that he is a "unemployed winner", could also make up to $1 million annually through tweeting product endorsements.

Sheen can earn between $200 and $25,000 for a single Tweet and could soon outrun Kim Kardashian, currently the most prolific star for earning money through social networking advertisements.


Oh and don't worry Charlie is taking full advantage of this opportunity. Charlie and his team say shirts bearing his likeness will sell online though mega promoter, Live Nation, in the near future.

Actress Denise Richards is 'disgusted' with her former husband Charlie Sheen and his womanising ways, and feels they could be harmful to their two girls.

Richards feels her children, six-year-old Sam and five-year-old Lola, should keep a distance from Sheen's two 'goddesses' Bree Olsen and Natalie Kenly, partly because of allegations that at least one of them may be using drugs.

Twitter Suspends UberTwitter, Download The New UberSocial Here!

Twitter users went in a frenzy on Friday (Feb. 18th) and have been complaining ever since. It's all because the Social Network suspended one of the most popular BlackBerry Twitter apps "UberTwitter."

But no worries UberTwitter users, the CEO of UberMedia says his app has a new name: UberSocial - which you can DOWNLOAD HERE




Among the complaints from Twitter, according to a statement obtained by TechCrunch, was privacy concerns and trademark infringement. Twitter has said in the past it frowns upon applications using its name, forcing the change. Twitter also suspended UberMedia-owned Twidroyd.

Here is the full statement from UberMedia CEO Bill Gross, which addresses the name change:

PASADENA, CA - February 18, 2011 - Early Friday morning, Twitter shut off access to its service by several of our Twitter client applications: UberTwitter, Twidroyd, and UberCurrent. Twitter then notified us that they believed we were in violation of several provisions of their terms of service.

We were immediately in touch with Twitter, and the changes they asked us to make were very small. As a result, we have completed the changes, and new apps are currently being posted to their respective stores. Twitter has assured us that as soon as those changes were complete, they would reactivate our applications.

Twitter also asked us to modify the name of UberTwitter. We began a process of changing the name three weeks ago by polling our users, and we've decided based on their input to change the product name to UberSocial, which we completed today.

To our millions of loyal users, we appreciate your patience during this temporary period. We look forward to continuing our innovations on the Twitter platform.

While UberTwitter shut down, 20% of Twitter’s traffic dropped.

Meaning "redbone" or light skinned girls.

Destiny, who describes herself as dark-skinned, says that derogatory statements made during a recent encounter with Wayne and his Young Money lackeys left her determined never to support the rapper again.

We met up with Mack Maine from Young Money, he then took us to a hotel a couple of other girls were there and so was Lil Wayne, Guda Guda, Lil Chuckee, and Birdman. When we entered the room Guda was like “Damn, y’all pretty, to be dark skin.” And then Wayne quoted a verse from his song ["Right Above"]. I heard the song before and I was offended when I heard the lyrics, but I brushed my feelings off and forgot about what the gremlin said. But him saying it over again made me angry as hell. So me being the outspoken person that I am, I said, “Wayne, your daughter is dark skin so why would you say such ignorance?” He said ‘My daughter is a dark skinned millionaire, that’s the difference between her and you. MY daughter is the first and last dark skin child I’m having. The rest of my baby moms [are] light skinned chicks. I even got an Asian baby moms to make sure I have a daughter with good hair. Too bad we had a son.” Everybody started laughing and [we] stormed out of the room. Some guys followed us saying “Not everybody hate dark skinned girls. Young Money just allergic to Chocolate.”

Those are just some on them lol. Seems as if Raz was sorta plotting something, right? He has been promoting his new album soooo much since "confessed" the rape. And, at the time of the rape allegations came up, Raz-B and I had an interview set up to help him get his message out there. Raz never did the interview but kept stalling.

So to now say he "wasn't raped" is what stands out to us though! Not to judge, but doesn't this sound way too familiar? Something like a Tila Tequila story...


We did make this statement on Twitter earlier,

We were huge supporters of @razb2k! But not a fan of using serious allegations of rape for publicity.

FOR SOME WEIRD REASON, THE VIDEOS OF RAZ-B SAYING HE WAS RAPED KEEP GETTING DELETED! WATCH AT 2:00 AS RAZ SAYS HE WAS INDEED RAPED. BUT WHY SAY NOW YOU WEREN'T? YOU CAN SEE WHY PEOPLE WOULD BE UPSET...



But TMZ decided to put a different spin on the story...going more with Chris' gay slurs as the headline. If you come to this blog a lot, you know that we stand by victims constantly, but we are on Chris' side this time. But we did try and warn him:

It's so sad when "celebs" use us to get on their side with these serious allegations. All I can say here is God only knows the truth.

Yesterday was an unfortunate lack in judgment sparked by public Twitter attacks from Raz B, who was bent on getting attention. Words cannot begin to express how sorry and frustrated I am over what transpired publicly on Twitter.

I have learned over the past few years to not condone or represent acts of violence against anyone. Molestation and victims of such acts are not to be taken lightly; and for my comments I apologize — from the bottom of my heart. I love all of my fans, gay and straight. I have friends from all walks of life and I am committed, with God’s help, to continue becoming a better person.

Former B2K member, Raz-B, has put out quit a few videos lately that we have been showing to you but if this last one doesn't touch your heart I don't know what will. Though, these are by far NOT the first allegations made, Raz-B and fellow R&B singer Quindon Tarver are claiming both Chris Stokes and other R&B singer Marques Houston forced sex upon them.


Yes, these are allegations here but as I report this, I can't help but to be so extremely sad for these boys who went through this. I cried just a few minutes into these last videos, it's just way too much. To give you some background on myself, saying that I loved the group Immature would be an understatement...but if this story is true, it just disgusts me especially as a true fan who followed their work. I know for a fact Quindon Tarver was with MH a lot because I seen them at numerous shows together as kids. I really hope justice will be served for Raz and any of those boys that went through this. Raz mentions offers on the table from Oprah and Tyler Perry to speak to them and I think he should let his voice be heard to the world. Hopefully someone out there can really help these boys.


If these allegations are indeed true, BOTH Chris Stokes and
Marques Houston should go to jail for a long time.

This next video actually gives the graphic details of the sexual acts forced upon them. Quindon and Raz find out that they had similar encounters. "The first time Marques ever put is D*** in my **** was in that room too."


They go on to describe specific features on Marques' and Chris' genitals. "Marques Houston is not circumsized. He asked me to suck his d***, I told him no."

Raz also refers to Omarian's face in his response video in one of the videos as looking like Chris Stokes. We reported the other day that Omarian had a "look of death on his face", and that face looks like he is scared information might come out, on HIM. Take a look at that video below:
