Oru Kal Oru Kannadi to release with 7am Arivu

Udayanidhi Stalin is always bombarded with the same set of questions ever since he began 7aam Arivu.

It is about the film’s audio launch and release date. The producer, who will also be making his debut as hero with Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, has said OK OK’s trailer will come out with 7aam Arivu.

The producer-actor knows that 7aam Arivu is going to create a great impact on the audience and feels that it would be the right film to carry the trailer of OK OK, so that it can reach the maximum number of movie buffs. Well, one more reason to expect the Suriya and Shruti Haasan starrer 7aam Arivu’s release.

Karthi Sivakumar gets hitched..!

Tamil actor Karthik Sivakumar, also known as Karthi, tied the knot with the Chennai girl Ranjini on Saturday morning in Coimbatore.

The wedding was held as per traditional Tamil rites. The groom Karthi -- son of yesteryear actor Sivakumar and brother of Suriya -- was dressed in a white veshti and shirt. The bride Ranjini looked gorgeous in a rich Sandalwood coloured sari ornamented with brocade designs. She didn’t wear much jewellery but did opt for a traditional neckpiece.

The ceremony kicked off with the chanting of holy texts to welcome the guests. After that the formal wedding ceremony was initiated and completed as per traditional Tamil rituals.

Suriya is hot says Priyanka Chopra

Suriya and the 7am Arivu team were shooting in Mumbai, recently. Priyanka Chopra was present in the vicinity and she came over to say hello to cinematographer, Ravi K Chandran, since the two of them have worked together.

Priyanka enquired about Suriya, and said that she has seen him on the cover of a lot of magazines.

Apparently, Priyanka thinks Suriya is really hot and one of the best looking men in the country! Looks like Suriya has even more fans than he knows!

Anushka paired with Karthi for a new film..

Groom-to-be Karthi is also busy signing up plum projects. His next film after Saguni will be with director Suraaj, who did Padikathavan and Mappillai. Anushka has been roped in as the heroine. She was supposed to have done Siruthai with Karthi since it was a remake of her Telugu film, Vikramarkudu, but it did not work out. The actress is very happy that this time around everything went smoothly.

The film is yet to be titled. It is going to be an entertainer with lots of masala, action, and romance. Suraaj felt that Karthi is perfect for the role and waited patiently for Karthi to wrap up Saguni and give the thumbs up for his film.

Anushka proved to be lucky for Suriya as Singam was a big hit and it is hoped that her pairing with Karthi will also be a lucky one.

Suriya gets into Vijay's path?

Suriya is well known for his helping deeds towards students to pursue their dreams and goals through his trust 'Agaram Foundation'.

During a recent event, the star has said that he intends to start a Makkal Iyakkam very soon for the welfare of the people.

This disclosure by Suriya has surprised many because Vijay had already began lending a helping hand to many in need and then started a Makkal Iyakkam. This Iyakkam is now on the verge of becoming a political outfit.

Is Suriya trying to follow Vijay’s path?

Well, we don’t have a precise answer to that, but the star does not have any political affiliations till now.

K V Anand's Next ..

K V Anand's Ko starring Jiiva, Ajmal and Karthika in lead roles has hit the screens today with a massive response. KO , an intense political-drama is promising to be much bigger hit than Anand's previous outing with Surya.

With K V Anand having completed Ko and Suriya wrapping up the shooting of 7Am Arivu, both are getting ready to start Mattran. Expectations are high as Suriya and Anand come together again after Ayan, which went onto become a blockbuster.

Anand says, ' expectations would be really high. We have delivered a hit before. Audience would expect a lot from us. I hope with writers Subha and Suriya in my side, I can easily pull it off'. The latest buzz doing round in Kollywood is that Kajal Agarwal might play the female lead opposite Suriya in Mattran and is all set to go to floors very soon.

Tired of the Usuals

Despite being a big name in Bollywood, Sameera has also managed to capture the hearts of the Tamil movie audience. She has been a leading actress in Tollywood much before and rose to fame in Kollywood having paired with Surya in Vaaranam Aayiram and Ajith in Asal. She also played the female lead role in the recently released Nadunisi Naaigal directed by Gowtham Menon.

Sameera, while speaking to the media said,” I am fed up with singing duets with heroes and I am avoiding films getting these kinds of roles very often. How long would we actress play roles of women who hug and roll with the heroes ? I like to don different kinds of roles and I am interested in doing lesbian and commercial sex worker’s roles. If somebody approaches with a good story and these kinds of roles, I am ready to reduce my salary."

A role of a women being a lesbian or a commercial worker has a lot of scope to exhibit one's acting skills and Sameera Reddy has expressed her desire in bringing out a lot more of her talents in portraying such a role. She added that"Heroines are used only for singing duets and love scenes and this trend should change. Actresses also have lots of talents. So stories should be scripted as to bring out their talents."

S J Suryah is ready with the script for his next film and he is very confident that the film would certainly hit the bull’s eye. The film is titled ‘Isai’ and S J Surya will not be just the hero in this film but is also going to surprise everybody scoring music for the film apart from directing and producing it.

Suriya's Nemesis in 7am Arivu

Vietnamese star, Johnny T Nguyen, will play the villain in AR Murugadoss’s film 7aam Arivu, which has Suriya in the lead. The actor has made his mark in American films and television shows and is also a martial artist par excellence, proficient in Lien Feng Kwon, Vovinam, Wushu, Taekwondo, and Tai Chi.

The director is delighted with his find doing a magnificent job. As an action star, Johnny is a dream come true. The stunt sequences in this movie are crucial and have turned out something special as the makers have spent a lot to make them authentic. Fight scenes between Suriya and Johnny are going to be a treat to watch.

Surya to come together with Shankar

Shankar is the man with the golden touch and there is no doubt that all the leading stars want to work with him. It is also well known that Suriya is one of the most commercially viable stars in tinsel town today. With this being the present scenario, the two may join hands to create box office magic. The director is working at a rapid pace to finish his remake of 3 Idiots, Nanban in record time. Once that is finished he is eager to get started on a fresh project. The script is ready and word is that Suriya will be doing the lead role.

The actor was supposed to work with Shankar in Nanban but that did not pan out. This time around it looks like everything has fallen into place for the top star as well as the ace director. This combination is sure to be a winning one as both are perfectionists with amazing track records at the box office.

Abhinaya bags a role in 7aam Arivu

Abhinaya plays a second lead to her favourite star Suriya in 7aam Arivu. The Shruti Hassan and Suriya starrer is a trilingual and is slated for release in July. 10-15 days of shoot is left after which Suriya is going on a long holiday with his family and director AR Murugadoss will get involved with his post-production work. The director finds some time to wax eloquent on his special actress Abhinaya who is all set to stun the audiences as a princess. She appears for around twenty minutes as Suriya's love interest in a period drama in the beginning of the film.

"I needed a divine face, she's like an angel and she fits the bill perfectly and the Tamil audiences are very fond of her; Also she had wowed the Telugu people with her performance in Sambho Siva Sambo," says the director.

Murugadoss met her during the making of Stalin in Hyderabad. Her father played the role of a security officer in the film and one day he walked into his office along with Abhinaya. It was then he'd come to know that she was a special child. He spoke to her for 45 minutes and couldn't forget her for two weeks. After Ghajini he drafted a story for Suriya and he required a character and immediately thought of her. The director says that all of us speak with our mouth but Abhinaya uses every part of her body to communicate, she is so sharp that her brilliance is on par with that of 100 people in his unit.

Get ready for the 7th sense

Harris Jeyaraj, who impressed one and all with his recent album Engeyum Kadhal, is all set to repeat his magic again and this time it is with 7Am Arivu.

Buzz is that the movie's producer Udhayanidhi Stalin is planning to release the audio of the film in a grand manner in Chennai this June. The film is based on a circus artiste and Suriya plays the role of a trapeze artiste cum animal trainer with Shruti Haasan and Abhinaya leading as his heroines.

Harris Jayaraj is currently busy composing the songs for the film. A special trainer from Rajkamal Circus was appointed to teach Suriya with the jumps and other special items that he can be seen performing in the movie.

Interstingly, the movie is directed by A R Murugadoss, who rendered a huge hit with Suriya in Ghajini. He says, "I have to live up to the expectations of masses. 7Am Arivu should match Ghajini. Hence we are working hard to get everything right".

Suriya, on his part, says, "Murugadoss is a delight to work with. He is a bundle of energy and the movie has shaped up better than we expected and I enjoy being a part of such a prestigious venture'.

Double Ayan

The much-awaited film from KV Anand starring Jiiva, Ajmal and Piaa Bajpai has yesteryear leading actress Radha's daughter Karthika playing the leading lady. The director who is very happy about his third film says “KO is Double Ayan”! referring the Surya starrer that propelled KV Anand and Ko to be twice as good!

With Harris Jayaraj’s music topping the charts, it is hoped, to repeat the success of Ayan which had some timeless numbers. Producer, RB Chowdhary of Super Good films will be releasing this movie simultaneously in Telugu as Rangam. This is a first for the production house and reflects the confidence the makers have in their film. Lets see what awaits this coming new year.

Suriya has now set all his focus on ‘Ezham Arivu’ and considers it as his magnum opus… The actor has been taking scrutinizing efforts to make it the best of his career. Now we hear it from the closer sources that he plays the role of a circus clown and another one as a Chinese martial arts expert before 2000 years in China.

The actor had to look fatigue and tired without food and continuous as a clown for a particular sequence in the movie. Merely for this scene, he remained without food and water and started looking pale. Even his father Siva Kumar started yelling at him in his house.

‘Ezham Arivu’ with Shruti Hassan playing the lead opposite Surya will have the audio launched in May while the movie release is scheduled to be sometime in June.
