Trisha in Mankatha..

There has been a lot of talks about Ajith’s role in Mankatha with plenty of hype surrounding the performance of ‘The Ultimate Star’.

Fans have been waiting to watch their Thala Ajith Kumar playing the Venkat Prabhu's game for quite sometime now.

With the audio of the film releasing August 10th, the wait to catch the ‘first day first show’ of this long-awaited film only becomes even more hectic.

But what’s the leading lady Trisha doing in Mankatha?

Trisha has been taking a lot of efforts with extra pain over her role in the film. After Ayitha Ezhuthu and Manmadhan Ambu, Trisha has dubbed in her own voice for Mankatha.

Venkat comments, “I thought it would be better if she dubbed for herself than anybody else. In fact I insisted on it. Trisha was game with it and she is doing a good job with the dubbing!”

“Trisha plays a vital role in this guys’ flick, where males dominate. She plays a cute character in the film, who falls in love with Ajith. The consequences she has to face because of this, gives an interesting turn to the plot,” said director Venkat Prabhu of Trisha's role in Mankatha.

Sameera's perfect match..

Sameera Reddy has made an impact in Tamil cinema but so far she has been unfortunate in finding the perfect onscreen match.

In her debut film, Vaaranam Aayiram, Divya Spandana gets Suriya. In Asal, she was part of a two heroine project with Bhavana, so she had limited screen time with Ajith. Then in Nadunissi Naigal, her boyfriend gets killed by a psychopath who is obsessed with her.

Sameera up next has Vettai with Arya and Maddy next, but that is also a two heroine project where she shares screen space with Amala Paul.

But finally, it seems her luck has changed and she will be seen opposite Vishal in Vedi which is her first solo heroine project. Besides, everybody is saying that they make a great couple as they are both tall and have dusky good looks.

No takers for Mankatha

The buzz around the release of Ajith's Mankatha only seems to be getting bigger.

The film, which was supposed to release in August, has now hit another stumbling block. This time around; it's the political pressure against the release of the film.

Distributors are hesitating to buy the Ajith-Trisha starrer, as the film is produced by Dayanidhi Alagiri, son of DMK's Alagiri. The situation is such that the film has found buyers in Karnataka, Kerala and even overseas, but not in Tamil Nadu.

Ajith has always has been a loyal supporter of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. We hear that the conditions that prevailed in the industry a year back had made Ajith to do the film produced by Dayanidhi Alagiri.

Billa is Back..

The shooting for Ajith's Billa 2 will commence this weekend in Hyderabad. Director Chakri Toleti of Unnaipol Oruvan fame will be directing the prequel to Billa.

Billa 2 will trace the origins of David Billa and the events that made him become one of the most dangerous criminals in the world.

The film will be very slick and hard hitting. Ajith has been working out and following a strict diet so that he will be able to pass for a 20 year old. His clothes and look for the film are being taken care off by a special team flown in from Hollywood. Huma Qureshi will be the heroine with Prabhu and Rahman reprising the same roles in the film.

James Cameron's connection with Billa

Here is something common between Ajith Kumar’s Billa-2 and James Cameron’s Avatar-2.

Ajith Kumar always prefers to have high-profiled cinematographers, make-up artists and costume designers to be a part of his projects. Naturally, Billa-2 is not an exception as the makers are planning to add more international feel to the film.

Director Chakri and cinematographer R.D. Rajashekar have decided to shoot the film with EPIC Camera @ 5K Resolution.

The prequel of Billa is the first Indian movie to be shot using this High Resolution camera and it is worth mentioning that James Cameron is filming his Avatar-2 using the same camera.

Chakri Toleti is now busy hunting for locations in Hyderabad and will kick-start the shooting very soon.

Mankatha in Hindi..

Director Venkat Prabhu has said that Mankatha will be remade in Hindi soon. Though he did not disclose any further details, the director has said that it will soon be taken to Bollywood as some filmmakers have shown keen interest.

To yet another question on if the film will be dubbed in Telugu, Venkat Prabhu has said that it is up to the producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri to decide.

Mankatha is a high budget film that stars Ajith, Arjun and Trisha. Incidentally it happens to be Ajith’s 50th film. Mankatha shooting is complete and the audio launch date is due to be announced soon.

Mankatha is a remake ?

Buzz is that Mankatha is a remake of the Hindi movie Jannat. The media came up with this news because Jannat, which had Emraan Hashmi and Sonal Chauhan playing the lead roles, also dealt with match fixing and bookies.

Reacting to this news, Mankatha’s producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri has said that the news is definitely not true.

He has said that fans will come to know that both the films are very different from each other when Mankatha releases and not to believe in such baseless rumors.

This may be mentioned here that Mankatha also deals with bookies and hence the rumors began circulating.
