Punjabi tadka for Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster

After the overwhelming response to the first look and theatrical trailer of upcoming film " Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster", its makers have roped in Punjabi singing sensation Babu Maan to sing a major song in the film.

Confirming the news, producer Rahul Mittra said, "Yes, noted Punjabi music composer Jaidev and singer Babu Maan have just finished recording a song for our film and we will unveil it in our next theatrical promo in cinemas across the world by August end. Apart from this, the song will be used in the film as a part of an important sequence."

So what prompted Mittra to add a dash of Punjabi music to his film? "Well, Mahie Gill is a rebellious biwi in the film and we needed a catchy theme song for her. Hence, the idea to bring out our version of "Jugni", a popular Punjabi folk song, came about. I've personally loved Babu's songs over the years and we thought his voice was best suited for this song. People are going to love this new rebellious jugni," said an upbeat Rahul, who himself hails originally from Chandigarh. He added, "Babu is also very excited about this song and intends to perform on this track during his major concerts in India and abroad."

Starring Jimmy Shergill, Mahie Gill and Randeep Hooda, "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster", would also mark Babu Maan's entry into Bollywood. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the movie is slated for a September 23 release.

Mahie apes Vidya

After playing a bold character in Dev D, Mahie Gill is going to bare it all for her forthcoming film ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’, a modern day rendition of the original 'Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam'.

The film that will see Mahie in one of her hottest avatars till date has a lot of intimate scenes with co-star Randeep Hooda. Their onscreen chemistry is very hot and sensual and would become the talk of the town, ” confirms a source.

The main poster of the film, sees Mahie posing in way, similar to what Vidya Balan had done for the FHM magazine, a few months back.

Directed by Thigmanshu Dulia, the movie will also see Jimmy Shergill in a very intense role.

Mahi Gill’s bold avatar..

From her role as the modern Paro in Dev D to Begum in the upcoming Tigmanshu Dhulia directed film Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster, Mahi Gill seems to have grown sexier and bolder in doing certain required scenes for the success of her movies.

After the talks about her bold act in RGV's 'Not A Love Story', Mahie goes a step further shedding all her inhibitions and has gone commando for the first time in an intimate scene sharing a lengthy kiss with co-star Randeep Hooda for their forthcoming film, Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster.

"The film has erotic scenes between Randeep Hooda and Mahi Gill. There is a love-making scene where she is dressed like a royal bahu and seduces Randeep's character. Initially she had a few reservations, but once Tigmanshu assured her that it will be shot aesthetically she was game for it,"says the source.

“I was very nervous initially. I was suppossed to be drunk for that scene, so I took a bit of alcohol but it hit me so badly that I just went with the flow. Thankfully, the shot has come out beautifully. Tigmanshu has shot it so aesthetically that it doesn’t look vulgar and looks sensuous instead,” says Gill who just gulped a few drinks to ease her down in the name of preparation for the scene.

The film, which shares a striking resemblance to the yesteryears hit Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam, has an interesting punchline that says, ‘A Royal Threesome’. It tells the story of a beautiful Begum, her Nawab husband and an ambitious young boy.

Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster“The erotic scenes between the lead stars are aesthetically shot to be very romantic and the scene doesn’t look like cheap porn, Though people may find it hot and sensuous,” says producer Sunil Bohra.

Based in a small town in the Northern part of India, Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster is a story packed with intrigue betrayal and ambition between a beautiful Begum played by Mahie Gill her Nawab husband (Jimmy Shergill) and an ambitious young man (Randeep Hooda).

The film is slated to release on Sept 9 along with Ranbir Kapoor’s Rockstar and Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.
