Ileana Vs Priyanka

Ileana is yet to get a foothold in Bollywood with her debut film Barfee opposite Ranbir Kapoor and is already in the news for all the wrong reasons. Barfee directed by Anurag Basu has Ranbir Kapoor playing a deaf - mute person and Ileana being his love interest. Interestingly Priyanka Chopra is the third lead and will be playing a mentally impaired character.

There have been rumors doing rounds about Ileana and Priyanka not getting along. Apparently, Ileana wants to make sure she gets noticed and has been asking the director to make her role meatier. Priyanka is supposedly not happy with all the interfering.

Ileana is going blue in the face, denying these rumors saying that she is yet to meet Priyanka on the sets and there is no reason for them to fight. The actress claimed that the whole affair is the work of irresponsible press hounds.

Ileana's ticket to Bollywood..

Ileana who is the highest paid actress in the South, has just booked herself a first-class ticket to Bollywood!

Ileana will be starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Anurag Basu's Barfi playing a very interesting character as the story arc for this role starts with her being a teenager and finishes at 60!

Ranbir will be a deaf-mute in this film. There is another meaty heroine role and word is that it will either go to Asin or Priyanka Chopra.

The Nanban heroine would have preferred a solo launch but she accepted as the role allows her to perform while showing off her glam side as well.

This is certainly an unconventional launch but Ileana is quite sure of making it work for her.

Nervous Idiot..

Ileana is gung ho about Nanban with Vijay, directed by Shankar. She bubbles over with enthusiasm while discussing the project.

Apparently 'Nanban' is not a scene - by - scene lift from the original Three Idiots but a remake that takes Tamil sensibilities into account .

Ileana's character has also been tweaked a little and she credits her director Shankar for developing the character as well as her look in the film.

About working with Vijay she says "I was a little nervous but everyone made me feel comfortable and helped me out with the language barrier. Vijay is a very composed person and is very friendly. He shares a great rapport with Jiiva, and Srikanth and the three enliven the sets considerably. As for me, I am the fourth idiot on the set", she adds with a laugh.

Ileana is burning up . .

Tight Riff and its Tiff . .

Ileana had earlier angered the makers of the Telugu film Shakthi by not attending the film’s promotions. Sources in Tollywood say that the actress is not happy over the way Shakthi was made as several scenes in the film were changed to suit the lead star Junior NTR.

Further, Ileana did not get along well with Junior NTR during the shoots as they were at loggerheads all through. It is even stated that the actor has refused to share the screen space with Ileana henceforth.

The director of Shakthi has said that Ileana’s behavior, by not attending the film’s promotion, is not a good practice. The director added that he has plans to complain about the actress to the Producers’ Council and Actors’ Association.

First Look at Rajni's "RANA"

After the amazing success of Robot (Endhiran), Rajnikanth is back in ‘Rana’! We just can’t take our eyes off Rajni’s flowing mane and a very Sindbad look in the poster.

What’s more interesting is that the South Superstar will play a triple role in the film. The music for the film is being scored by A R Rehman and K.S. Ravikumar is directing the film. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and is said to have Ileana D’Cruz and Sonu Sood in the cast as well.

With Rajni looking so good, we can only imagine how Deepika would...!!!

Restricted Access

Rajinikanth’s next film with KS Ravikumar is ready to rock and roll. A colossal set has reportedly been erected at the AVM Studios and all is in readiness for the shoot. The first schedule will begin on May 1st. Some crucial scenes and a dance sequence with Deepika Padukone will be canned.

The director wants to preserve the surprise elements in the film, so access cards have been issued to crew members so that only select personnel may gain admission to the set. This move is likely to increase an already inflated interest in Rana, a hundred fold.

Deepika will sport a brand new look for this film and will epitomize the Southern beauty. Tabu will be paired up against the patriarch character and Ileana will be the other leading lady. Sonu Sood, who has become famous for his bad guy act in Arundhati and Dabangg, will be the villain in Rana. Interestingly, the actor did a small role and was in a fight sequence with Superstar in Chandramukhi.

Me and My demon . .

"Nenu Naa Rakshasi is a film in a different genre. It is a love thriller. It is different from my other films. This is one film that I am indeed proud to be associated with. Both Rana and Ileana have come up with brilliant performances.

The music has already come in for high praise both among the trade circles and the general public.

Anoop's re-recording is first rate. It will definitely be a different experience for the audience," says Puri Jagannath about his upcoming directorial venture, Nenu Naa Rakshasi. The film is set to release April 29th.

Rana, who is playing a role of a Professional Assasin in the film, adds, "Even though I am just three films old, I can confidently say that Nenu Naa Rakshasi is a unique film. Producer Bujji has not compromised on anything in making this entertainer. I feel fortunate to get to work with a talented filmmaker like Puri Jagan so early in my career. I am sure the film will give my career the required boost."

Ileana remarks, "I liked my character in Nenu Naa Rakshasi immensely. I am satisfied with the outcome of the film. It has given me ultimate satisfaction as an actor. Rana has performed his part very well in the film. It is going to be a landmark film in my career."

Nenu Naa Rakshasi has music by Viswa-Rehman, cinematography by Amol Rathod, editing by SR Rajasekhar, art by Chinna, choreography by Raju Sundaram, Pradeep Antony, action by Vijay, Selva and Ganesh. Vijaya Ram Prasad is the co-director.

Bollywood KICK

Though Shamshuddin Ibrahim AKA Shaam made his film debut through the Tamil film 12B, he shot to limelight after starring in the Telugu blockbuster titled Kick. Shaam had played an important role in this film and had earned name and fame enough to essay the same role in all of its remakes.

Kick was remade in Tamil under the title Thillalangadi and in Kannada it was named Kick. With both the remakes having done good business in Tamil and Kannada as well, it is now gearing up to go to Bollywood.

Recently, Salman Khan had met Shaam and assured him of the same role in its Bollywood remake and Shaam is happy over this development as it would be mark his debut in Bollywood. Sources in the Bollywood say that this remake would carry the title of the Original Kick and we just try and avoid saying, Not Again !

This remake is rumored to be directed by A R Murgadoss of Ghajini fame once he wraps up his '7am Arivu' with Suriya & Shruti Hassan in the lead. If sources are to be believed Deepika Padukone would be cast opposite Salman for the 1st time in a role preceeded by Ileana, Tamannah and Praneetha.

Nenu Naa Rakshasi - Romantic Thriller

Directed by Puri Jagannath, Telugu movie Nenu Naa Rakshasi is a romantic thriller starring Rana Daggubati and Ileana D'Cruz.

The film has a chilling yet postive tagline - 'Suicide is not a permanent solution to a temporary problem.'

Rana Daggubati plays a professional killer while Ileana portrays the character of a Rakshasi (female demon).

Though she portrays a Rakshasi, she is charged up about her latest on-screen appearance.

Ileana says that the role of a "Rakshasi" is in accordance with the storyline.

Puri knows what he wants . .

"Everything Puri Jagannath does has a purpose. I am called Rakshasi in the film as the story demanded it. Once you see the film you will agree," says Ileana. Her latest film Nenu Naa Rakshasi is due for release and the sizzler seems excited about the whole new concept.

How was it working with Puri Jagan for the second time after Pokiri? "Puri is more of a friend than a director to me. Working with him is a pleasure. He is very focused and he knows what he wants. He is very clear in his vision and has the knack of getting the best out his actors."

She adds, "Puri gave me a brief outline on the film and my role to which I readily agreed. And after seeing the rushes, I am confident that the product has turned out to be good."

Ileana can't stop raving about his co-star. "Rana is born into a film family. So, films are not new to him. Nenu Naa Rakshasi has a good role for Rana. He is a cool guy. Working with him was a brilliant experience."

Ileana talks about "Nenu Naa Rakshasi"

Despite duds like Shakti, Rechipo and Saleem behind her back, the Goa damsel Ileana doesn't seem to have even the slightest sign of sadness on her face. Well, if that can be attributed to confidence you have certainly stepped a foot wrong. She is all pumped up about her next release Nenu Naa Rakshasi with Rana Daggubati.

Pouring her heart out she says that this role has been one of the most challenging ones in her career even though she got rob a meaty role in Rakhi. The film which bases its theme on suicides will see the male lead Rana as a killer with the story marching into the romantic angle between her and Rana. In situations where she was supposed to shed tears, the actress reveals that she hasn't used glycerine for the most part. Well if you don't believe this she says this role would stand out as the most phenomenal one of her career to date.

Tall claims, tall girl! It's upto us to see whether she has done justice to her character!

Ileana or Anushka: Who is hot?

News of Silambarasan aka STR playing Salman Khan’s Dabangg role in the Tamil remake has been circulating for some time now.

What is currently hot in tinsel town is the buzz that the movie will be directed by Dharani, who has been missing in action in Kollywood for quite some time now. Sources close to the actor say that Simbu is holding talks with Dharani and matters have almost reached the signing stage. Since Dharani’s Tollywood film with Ram Charan has been put on hold, the filmmaker will be using those dates for Simbu’s flick.

Reportedly, after Sonam Kapoor was unable to dole out dates, it is said Dharani is keen on bringing either Anushka or Ileana on board, opposite STR.

Though there were initial apprehensions about repeating Anushka after Vaanam, the director’s contention is that the Vedam star is not paired with STR in Vaanam. Moreover, Simbu has one more film, Poda Podi, due to release after Vaanam.

A little birdie tells us that Ileana is also being considered for the role made memorable by Sonakshi Sinha in Bollywood.

Shakti : The Birth and its production

Kantri’s run away success has made the trio NTR-Ashwini Dutt-Mehar Ramesh sit together and think of generating yet another product from their stable. Thus ‘Shakti’ was born, but with an additional purpose to export NTR to neighbouring states. This time NTR will also speak Tamil. Seeing this combination setting foot on yet another product, others of ‘Kantri’ fame like music director Mani Sharma, cameraman Sameer Reddy, editor Marthand K Venkatesh also joined hands. Not stopping with this, the film ‘Shakti’ has a large comedy group led by Brahmmu, supported by Ali, MS Narayana, Dharmavarapu, Venu Madhav, Krishna Bhagawan, Srinivas Reddy, etc., apart from imports from other states like Prabhu, Jackie Shroff and Pooja Bedi, not to forget the dazzling Ileana. Well the story goes like this.

NTR (Shakti) is a National Security Guard and Prabhu is the chief of the unit. Ileana is his daughter. She sets on visiting different temples in India out of spiritual desire. Prabhu decides to send NTR as her bodyguard for her. As they set on journey they undergo threats and attacks from different corners which NTR thwarts at ease. But as the days pass by, the intensity of attacks increase and finally NTR learns the motive behind the attacks. It is then the flashback starts where NTR was King Rudra fighting an evil (Sonu Sood) wanting to capture the 18 Shakti Peetams. In the process he dies. So it is now the ‘Shakti’ and Sonu Sood’s descendents who again fight in the present world. NTR finally releases the hold of those 18 Shakti Peetams.

So the movie’s entire length is expected to portray NTR frame after frame, thus dominating the entire film. The movie further being released in Tamil version will also show NTR’s capability to understand the Tamil public and deliver. This film being a socio-fantasy one, producer Ashwini Dutt has already opined that NTR’s image would gain unimaginable mileage similar to that of the Sr NTR. So the entire Nandamuri fans are eagerly waiting for this film.

The huge star cast and top technicians with about 300 unit members and 18 months of hard work on costly sets gulping crores of rupees, this movie is finally ready to hit theaters on April 1st. The distributors have decided to release the Tamil version in Tamil Nadu and Kerala together and the Telugu version in Andhra Pradesh and the rest of India.

For Mehar Ramesh who has just entered into the direction there has to be always firsts and this happens to be his first period film. His other movies in Telugu are ‘Kantri’ and ‘Billa’. He also assisted Puri Jagannath for ‘Pokiri’ apart from directing two films in Kannada.

It’s almost 5 years back Ileana did a movie (Rakhi) with NTR and the repeat will only mean that there won’t be need for synchronization. While Ileana’s role is very prominent and understood, it’s another female lead Manjari Fadnis who apparently plays along NTR probably in flash back scenes.

The movie under Vyjayanti Movies banner will also cast SPB, Manju Bhargavi, Roja and Nazar apart from the whole lot mentioned above. Sameer Reddy trained camera will no doubt play a vital role apart from Satyanand’s dialogues which of course Marthand K Venkatesh will have enough editing rights on. Such a period film cannot stand in the minds of people without proper art work and it is Anand Sai who has been entrusted with the job who does not need any introduction.

Veturi, Sirivennela and Ramajogayya Sastry competed with each other to provide the lyrics matching today’s temperament which Mani Sharma converted them into lovable music. He also added flavour to the background music by re-recording them at Prague (Czech) which in general accommodates only Hollywood films.

Kantri’s success showed NTR as a stylish hero. But ‘Shakti’ will portray him as a socio-fantasy character. The Telugu public even today relates Sr NTR to certain mythological roles, particularly to that of Lord Krishna. They also see a Sr NTR in the face of Jr NTR due to startling resemblance of face. Now this film will further strengthen their feeling and one can expect Jr NTR gaining a good momentum through this film. With very huge budget and expensive star cast filmed in different locations mainly Egypt (apart from Jammu & Kashmir, Kulu Manali, Hampi-Badami, Sivarla, Haridwar, Hyderabad and some part of Rajasthan), will this movie create a record similar to ‘Arundathi’ and ‘Magadheera’?

Ileana Vs Ileana, fighting to seduce more of her own audience with every project that she signs for..

Little she knows that she is her own rival and a contender that she couldn't easily defeat unless she dares to go bare like most others ..

For those who check these images, don't go away without appreciating her hotness coz she is the the hottest there is and she deserves the applause. Hope she doesn't let any stone unturned while exposing for Shakti . .

Ileana D'Cruz: Second highest paid actress in India

Yes, we mean "dearest" in both senses: beloved and costly. Ileana D'Cruz makes her comeback in Kollywood with Shankar's 'Nanban'. The actress sure does want to make her presence felt on her return to Kollywood. She began by demanding Rs. 2 crores remuneration for the movie, the highest pay packet ever demanded by a South Indian actress.

The shocked producers, Gemini Film Circuit, were unwilling to pay the record amount, but realised that unless they negotiated with her, the successful Ileana would give them the slip. Finally, they agreed on Rs. 1.5 crores, which is still the highest remuneration for any actress in South India.

Ileana's popularity has multiplied in Tollywood, as she is appearing in 'Shakti' opposite Junior NTR. The movie holds the record for being the costliest movie ever made in Tollywood. The actress was able to leverage this popularity and demand more in Tollywood, which resulted in her next project being signed for 1.75 crores and another in Bollywood for 2 crores.

Her Kollywood comeback movie is a remake of the Hindi blockbuster'3 Idiots'. Ileana will reprise the role of Pia (which was originally played by Kareena Kapoor). Call it coincidence or the quality of the character, Kareena was recently announced as the costliest actress in Bollywood, after she was paid Rs. 7 crores for her role in 'Golmaal 3'.

Kamana to become an entrepreneur

Ileana D'Cruz and Namitha, two actresses who have taken up entrepreneurship recently, have a follower. No, we don't mean a crazy fan or follower on microblogging sites.

Kamana Jethmanali, the pretty actress from Mumbai, is now going to start her own boutique in Hyderabad and Mumbai soon. "I am deliberately taking a break to think about my boutique," says Kamana, adding that she is leaving for London next month to take a short-term course in fashion designing. Kamana has acted in quite a number of Telugu films. "After the break, I would definitely like to come back here. I am in talks for some Telugu films," she says.

Ileana D' Cruz

Ileana D'Cruz is an Indian film actress, who predominantly appears in Telugu-language films. Starting her career as a model, she made her feature film debut in Y.V.S. Chowdhary's 2006 Telugu film Devadasu. She went on to appear in commercially successful ventures Pokiri (2006), Jalsa (2008) and Kick, establishing herself as one of Telugu cinema's leading actresses.

D'Cruz made her feature film debut in 2006 in the Telugu language romance film Devadasu, directed by Y. V. S. Chowdhary, who spotted her in a "Fair and Lovely" ad film directed by Rakesh Roshan. Critics were in praise of her, particularly referring to her physique and looks; Jeevi of Idlebrain wrote that Ileana "makes a cool debut. She is good at histrionics and has a fabulous body any woman would love to possess. She has great legs and nice physique", while a review from Indiaglitz noted that she "has chiseled features and a figure to die-for." Devadasu, which also marks its lead actor Ram's acting debut, became the year's first major commercial success, eventually grossing around Indian Rupee 14 crores, whilst earning Ileana the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debutant. She next appeared opposite Mahesh Babu in the action flick Pokiri in which she portrayed an aerobics teacher, who is harassed by a corrupt police offer. The film was a huge financial success, emerging the highest-grossing Telugu film of all time until then, as well as Ileana's biggest commercial success so far.

Later that year, she made her Tamil-language film debut in Kedi (2006). Although the film did not do so well at the box-office, D'Cruz remained too busy to accept all the film roles offered to her. Her Telugu film Khatarnak (2006) in which she acted opposite Ravi Teja did not do as well as expected, which has been attributed to her glamorous appearance not going down well with the audience. She subsequently experienced a setback in her career as her following releases Rakhi (2006) and Munna (2007) proved critically and financially unsuccessful.

D'Cruz's career took a turn for the better with the release of her well-received 2007 film Aata, acting opposite Siddharth. She received favorable reviews for her performance as Satya, a college student who is on the run from the home minister's crooked son by whom she is targeted, when leading a protest and demanding punishment for his crimes. Idlebrain described her as "gorgeous" and a "treat to watch to the eyes". In 2008, she performed a lead role opposite Pawan Kalyan in Jalsa. Her 2009 film with Ravi Teja, titled Kick, was declared a hit at the box office, following which she starred in the 2009 films Rechipo and Y.V.S. Choudary's Saleem alongside Vishnu Manchu, which both performed poorly at the box office. Ileana just finished shooting for Shakti, where she plays next to Jr. NTR, which she worked earlier in Rakhi. Puri Jagannadh signed her for his forthcoming film Nenu na Rakshasi. This would be the second co-operation for Ileana with Puri, after the huge success of Pokiri in year 2006. She has done a Item song in the Kannada movie Huduga Hudugi called "Ileana Ileana". She will next appear in Anurag Basu film Barfee opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Apart from movies Ileana is passionate about horses. She has mastered the art of horse riding.
