Taylor Swift & Kanye West Billboard's Top Artist Of The Year!

Billboard magazine has Taylor Swift and Kanye West as Top Female Artist and Top Male Artist of the Year respectively. However, Swift was named the Top Artist of 2009.

The two hit headlines after West grabbed the microphone from Swift while she was delivering her acceptance speech for an award she won at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards so that he can declare that Beyonce Knowles deserved the trophy more than the country singer. Beyonce came in second in the female artist category.



Lady Gaga was named Third Top Artist of the Year.

The list was based from the best performances in the Hot 100 single charts and Billboard 200 Album charts from November 2008 to November 2009. Below is the complete list.

For me, the top 5 is basically all women. No disrespect to the Black Eyed Peas but Fergie is the lead voice. So shout outs to the women holding down the top 5 Billboard spots!!
