Shahrukh Khan Bollywood Shake In Toronto

International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) held the twelfth annual event on Saturday (25 / 6) yesterday in Toronto, Canada. If you wonder why the award for the world of Indian films was held in Canada, this is one of India's efforts to introduce Bollywood to the world community.

All started in 2000 when the IIFA awards held in London for the first time. Furthermore, cities such as Dubai, Bangkok, Colombo, Singapore, Macau, up to Johannesburg in South Africa to host cities and never once held in India.

Selection of the city of Toronto as the venue for IIFA, 12, was aiming to become the entrance for the film industry in the United States. "Toronto of course is the entrance (Bollywood) to get into North America (United States, Canada, Alaska) and we hope to maintain cooperation with Canada for years to come," said Sabbas Joseph, Director of Wizcraft International, EO IIFA held.



Positive responses were obtained from the city of Toronto as many as 22,200 tickets immediately sold out within 10 minutes. IIFA is also broadcast over television is targeting as many as 700 million viewers watched awards for this Indian film world.

Siblings Michael Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, come perform at the event by performing a duet with pop star of India, Sonu Nigam. Jermaine also expressed appreciation to Bollywood and admitted that he had entertained with movies from Bollywood since early 1970s. Jermaine appearance on Saturday is also dedicated to the late Michael Jackson, who died on the same date (June 25), two years ago.

From the IIFA event itself, drama, starring Shahrukh Khan, My Name Is Khan, won many awards. My Name Is Khan to compete with film Dabangg (Fearless), Ishqiya (Love) and Mirch (The Wedding Planners) in a series of other awards.
